yay!

I had the best time yesterday with E! I met her at her new house (she just bought her first place! and it is seriously so cute), talked for a bit. Then we went down to Old Town Alexandria for lunch and walked around the waterfront. Even though we hadn't seen each other in five years, it's like we just saw each other yesterday (Casey you are so right. Those are the best kind of friends). I'm really excited to have a close girl friend near by. Yay!

And speaking of yay, I just got a phone call from one of SF Dude's army buddies...and he is engaged!! I'm so excited for him! I haven't met his fiancee yet but he says that we're exactly alike in personality and that we're going to get along famously. S and I had a bet going about who would get married first (we both said the other person) and so the first thing he said to me when he called me was "okay, you win. I'm beating you to the altar." ha ha ha. Love him!

I spent the day just doing stuff around the house...laundry, grocery shopping, organizing, baking and cooking. The apartment smells so good with the chicken roasting in the oven. Now I'm just snuggling on the couch with SF Pup and watching Pearl Harbor on tv. It's been a good day.
