Next month is our official 2 year anniversary (SF Dude decided that our anniversary is the day we had that not so pleasant talk about whether or not we wanted to get serious, not our first date, which was almost three and a half years ago). Last year SF Dude surprised me by kayaking me out to these little tiny rock islands on the Potomac (the ones closest to the Key Bridge), which I had been calling "Isle of T" for the previous year. He carved "Isle of T" on a rock on the biggest of the "Islands" and we just hung out on them for a while. It was perfect. He also cooked me a delicious dinner and we watched the Georgia game (go dawgs!). Since he planned it last year, I thought I'd plan it this year. I mean, it's his day too, right? :) I thought about going to a winery down near Charlottesville for the weekend, but it turns out that it's pretty expensive. Between SF Pup's vet bills, saving for a house, etc, it's just taken a toll on my bank account. Any ideas?
Last weekend I got the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. The workout is great and all, but can I tell you how much I dislike her? Today I finally had to mute the TV and turn on my itunes. And what's up with having to watch the entire intro every single time? I guess it had to do with liability and stuff, but it's so annoying. But hey, I get a workout without going to the gym. Sweet. Today during lunch I think I'm going to have to take a trip to buy some dumbell weights. I've been using canned green beans :)

I definitely used canned goods (I think black beans?) when I started the Shred!
ReplyDeleteAs for the anniversary, Matt and I did a mini bar/food sampling tour. We wandered to different restaurants and got an appetizer or two and a beer and then moved on to another restaurant. It was really low key, but that's how we are :)
That sounds pretty awesome! Thanks so much for the suggestion :) I finally bought some weights today, so tomorrow morning might suck :)
