Presents

SF Dude and my two year anniversary is coming up on September 20. Our birthdays (they're within 3 days of each other) are 2-3 weeks after that. So we decided to combine presents (ie one bigger present for both rather than two smaller ones). However, like last year, I got him something early because it was something he would have bought for himself if I had waited: a Sirius satellite radio for his car (the sport version). So now the ball's in his court for my present! :) To give you examples of his past presents: first birthday: two coffee table books; first christmas: pajamas from Victoria's Secret; first anniversary: a BU hockey jersey with my name and number (I used to play hockey and grew up a major BU hockey fan); second birthday: Global Santoku knife and Wustof kitchen shears (both are incredible and highly recommended!); second christmas: the best bathrobe ever from Brookstone and a really nice journal. So all in all really interesting and thoughtful presents. None quite the stereotypical stuff. He keeps asking me what I want for my present, but I think I'd rather have him think of it on his own. I did set the rules at: no kitchen stuff (right now we have so much kitchen stuff and no room for it); no clothes (he never picks out my size right); and no DVDs (he was thinking of getting me the complete Gilmore Girls set. A thoughtful gift but unnecessary to spend over $200 on Gilmore Girls DVDs when it plays on reruns twice a day). So I guess we'll see!
