Every monday morning runs around and I have no idea where the weekend went. We went to a show at the DC Improv (SF Dude's cousin was performing) with his aunt and other cousin and had a lot of fun. His cousin is super funny and his group was hilarious. There was one weird group that was just pain to watch. On Saturday we went to the Museum of American History, which was interesting. I was a little disappointed in the pop culture section though. They had kermit, oscar the grouch and Dorothy's ruby slippers. Not much more than that from our generation. Saturday night we had an incredible dinner at Eventide (if you're ever in the DC area, this is an amazing place though reservations are hard to get and it's reservation only on weekends). We ran into a couple of my friends on our way out in the downstairs bar so we spent the night hanging out with them (one of my friends is dating a creepy guy who I met for the first time that night. *sigh*). Yesterday we saw Funny People...which was not quite that funny. It was really serious for a Seth Rogan/Adam Sandler movie. I want to preface this by saying how much I love Eric Bana (especially in Black Hawk Down)...but the part of the movie with him and Leslie Mann was painful to watch...like a visual fingernails on chalkboard. This may be more of a rainy day and it's on tv type movie.
I've been trying to spend more time with my girl friends so last night E came over for dinner. I made chicken fajitas and she brought over chips and homemade salsa/guacamole. It was delicious. On Thursday night I was down in Baltimore with A. She just bought this incredibly beautiful 4 story townhouse in the city. Her house is my dream townhouse. I'm so happy for her though! We went out to dinner in Fells Point and then hung out at a tiki bar on the water for awhile. It was a perfect night.
Though speaking of real estate, SF Dude and I have been talking about pushing up our plan and looking into buying a place next summer! It would all depend on finances, what kind of mortgage we could get, what kind of market it is, etc. It's always been something we've talked about in the future...in a few years. Now there's a possibility that it's in a year. Craziness.
Alright time to go to work. It's going to be an easy few days. A lot of my group is out at this conference and my boss is still in Europe. Sweet. Easy living this week :)
